Builders Comments:
"The article cited in Power and Motoryacht is a good read as to what Charlie had in mind and how it was built. If you go to their site and search Charlie Lee up it will come. I can assure you it is built stout in the West Coast fashion with oak harpins, frames and longitudinals. Every component seems to be of a large section and mimics the (west coast) trollers from which it is modeled. Charlie loved that shippy thing and every mechanical component he specified was carefully researched then upgraded to the next size just to be sure, everything from batteries to even the Aquadrive. I know it is a very personal boat but the personality that drove the project was very well versed in what made a boat work and last."
Comments:
CAMILLA is an Enlargement of Bill Garden's 27' "pollywog" West Coast design, and was built to first class standards by Warren Barker of Westport, MA. Warren is well known for his quality construction and as a wooden boat building instructor. I am personally familiar with CAMILLA, and can recommend her highly for one desiring a nearly new, very salty power cruiser in this size range. The boat has received excellent maintenance by her very caring owner. Please call and I shall be pleased to furnish additional information and/or to arrange for inspection.
